I don't think you need any documents since you are allowed to come into the States to marry.

How long are you planning to stay after you get married? If you use an expeditor with your documents, you might be able to get your visa back in 24-48 hours, but I believe processing times have becoming a little bit longer.

I think just as long as you have a return ticket showing this, you should be fine.
Congratulations on your wedding!

I live in Cleveland, Ohiowhich is north of Akron. I was married in November 2009 in my home.  Then DF, now DH flew to the US via Newark Liberty International (New Jersey) and then onto Cleveland.  Akron is about 45-60 minutes south of Cleveland.  DH came in on a visitor's visa which is good for 90 days.

There's some form you have to fill out in the UK before to come to the US.  I don't know what it is, but I am sure someone on the forum will tell you.

We got our marriage license at the marriage license bureau and that was all we had to do for the county in which I live.

Have your DF check with his county marriage license bureau to see what the requirements and cost are as they vary county by county in Ohio.  If you've been married previously you will probably need to show divorce papers or a death certificate.

You are coming here during a nice time of the year.  I hope everything works out very well for you.

Thankyou for that info Woodlily, when i have been over to visit we have been up to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. If it wasn't for me having a young son who is close to his (english) father i would def be heading that way instead of vice versa...i usually fly from here to amsterdam, amsterdam to Detroit, Detroit to Akron....its a long jourmey but the end result is worth it everytime  ;D

Do you mean that crazy form all visitors have to fill out to be let into America?

My 22-year-old boyfriend from the UK was asked if he was a member of the Nazi Party during WWII on it... he has no plans to visit America again, lol. I can't remember what the form is called, but I'm sure a simple search should find it.

I'm from Akron, by the way. I'll second the comment that September is a lovely month in northeast Ohio!

Congratulations on the wedding!

I expect you're all referring to the ESTA form....http://www.esta-registration-online.com/

It needs to be completed at least 72 hours before the non-USC travels.

I was married in Feb of 210 in Cleveland, my son preformed the ceremony, you will need your birth cert, divorce or death cert if you were married before, they may not know what to put when the lady asks for your social num they are to put all 00000 in that spot, getting an appt at city hall may be a prob in the time frame so you may want to find a non denominational minister..as for coming back with you no in that amount of time, you have to wait for the papers to be send an registered in the court house an that takes about 2 wks cause you need that certified copy for your paperwork for the visa I just had mine approved yest!!..but it will work out it just takes time so have patience and best of luck
