GibbyGab,
I'm currently getting a degree in Fine Arts, but I'm switching to International Relations and Politics. I don't feel as though art is my calling any more.

I was back and forth about getting a degree in psychology, but I've heard some of those same things.. I think it all depends on what you want to use it for.. (I wanted to be one of those persons that did studies and research on the human mind.)
If it's what you really want to do, I'm sure you will have no problem getting into the field.
persephone Thanks for your input! My current school in London is actually American, though it has students from everywhere (except for Britain). The school is completely different from any other University, but they would do the trips, too. I never went though as I tend to be more of "solo" explorer with these things.
I plan to do what you did and do internships or anyway to get experience, and spend time with the hubby.
