Recommendations for Safety Gates
« on: November 23, 2010, 01:50:29 PM »
Got any?

This is something we've been holding off getting but the girls are on the cusp of going mobile and so we're getting our butts into gear.

I want one that isn't totally a hassle to open and close but is obviously still safe. I'm not bothered about whether it's fixed to the wall or not. It'll have to connect to a wall on one side and a banister on the other.

Thanks guys.

There are two things in life for which we are never truly prepared:  twins.

We have 2 Lindam gates that have different latches but they both work brilliantly and weren't that expensive either...we got them from Argos:

This is the other one we have & the one I prefer: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3763461/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CNursery%7C14417537/Trail/searchtext%3ELINDAM.htm

we've got two of the lindam pressure gates, which do not require screwing into the walls. they cost about £20 each. quite happy with them so far, as the beast has not yet sussed how to open them.
