LOOOOOOOOOVE the Gubler.

But I dig the look on both genders.  It's all in the cut of the jacket and the jean, though, of course.

He's way too gorgeous! I'd take care of him and his schizophrenic mother (yeah I may be getting reality/tv confused by I don't care! :P )

But how awesome is Jane Lynch, anyway?  Between that role and Sue Sylvester, love her.

But yeah,  he's so cute and  geeky and quirky.  I follow him on twitter, and while he's sporadic, it's when he does post, he's just an adorable nerd.

haha I lol'd at those comparison pics, thanks sonofasailor.  :D

I think the look generally looks good, but yes, there's a bit of a nack to getting it right.

I love a fitted blazer with jeans.

I  mean, if it's an actually suit jacket that is meant to be worn with pants, it might look a little silly, but a structured blazer with jeans is pretty classic.

This!  To me, there's a massive difference between a blazer/jacket and a suit jacket.  A blazer/jacket generally looks just fine with jeans (or cords or khakis).  A suit jacket that is meant to be worn with matching trousers looks really silly with anything BUT those matching trousers, IMO.  I do see it a lot, along with the mismatched suit look -- which I completely don't get, either.

I know.  I mean, you can wear suit pants/skirt without the jacket, but you can't do the reverse.

Although in general, I try to wear the suit all together and buy dress pants on their own, because once you start dry cleaning the items, if you wear the pants more than you wear the jacket, the suit starts not to match, especially if it's a darker color.

I think Clarkson had it right, actually.  Lighter colored blazer with jeans, it's a classic look.

Didn't quite know where to ask this.....

Am I the only one who thinks that jeans and a suit jacket are horrendous? I read somewhere that it is a classic look....and I know damn well it isn't. Classic means that it has been around a while...

I'm with you on that

I'm another who thinks it looks pretty blech. But fashion is pretty much always subjective, even "classics" and people vary so hugely in shape and size and personal style that I don't really think many classic looks are as versatile as magazines would have you believe.

Whole new world for a Southern gardener, but I'm very happy.
