Watching US TV shows online?
« on: October 14, 2010, 07:09:06 PM »
Does anyone have any other links to suggest besides watchtvseries.com?  I want to watch Glee Season 2, but that website is really difficult to download...

I pay for a VPN service (virtual private network) that allows me to have an IP address that gives me a location in the US so I can watch hulu, visit US network websites and keep up my netflix subscription for the instant watch movies/starz play stuff. :-D

It's worth every penny to me! (the one I have is 9.99 a month)

I use Sidereel.com.  they have a whole bunch of sites for each show and I can usually find one of decent quality.  It's not the idea and I should just get a proxy set up but I can't be bothered.

Hotspot Shield is another good IP blocker that allows you to access US-only sites.

You can't access Hulu or Fancast from the UK.

Yeah, unfortunately, there are laws against being able to access certain TV shows and channels outside the broadcast country. Also, websites like Netflix and mp3 and/or movies downloads from US sites (such as Amazon) are also not available to users located outside the US.

Conversely, you'll find that you can't watch UK TV shows online in the US either... if you try to play TV episodes on the BBC iplayer website, for example, it will tell you that only users located within the United Kingdom have permission to access the content.

Go to www.tvunetworks.com and install their TVUPlayer!! You can watch ABC and CBS, and other channels on there!! I watch, live, The Late Show with David Letterman every weekday morning(7:35AM as it is streamed fr4om the Bay Area of San Francisco which is 8 hours behind us) on there as that show is not on British TV right now and I am a HUGE Dave fan. Also ABC is listed under US TV. but, alas, NBC isnt on there right now!!

I also watch US TV on www.tvpc.com, which has a whole list of American channels!! And also tvweb360.com !!!
