Golden Globe Awards 2011

For those that are interested the Golden Globe Awards are being shown this coming Monday at 1 am on SKY PREMIER.
I know that only helps those that have sky and have the movie package but thought it would be worth posting.

I didnt really understand why there was so much fuss about ricky gervais - all he was doing was taking the piss - what did they expect. Also, are you not allowed to say Christ on US telly, its hardly a swear word but they bleeped it...

I'm torn on the Gervais issue....

I like rude comedy, but I have noticed, especially with these celebrity roasts, that things seem to be drifting into mean spiritedness. "Taking the piss", "busting b*lls"....these things have been around for a long time, but it is a fine line....one where context should be considered.

I don't think he went too far much, but I do take issue with the Scientollogy/gay prod at Cruise and Travolta. It's a dig at gays for one thing...which is sh*tty

In regards to the Ricky Gervis thing. I thought it was funny but I only watched the small clip not the entire show. Isn't he known as being a bit of an insult comedian? I mean they knew his sense of humor when they hired him to host the show. I just don't see the big deal....I guess it takes more then what he said to offend me. Beside I think Tim Allen and Tom Hanks had a good go at him.
