New Twilight Novella on 5th June
« on: May 26, 2010, 03:40:11 PM »
Just thought I would give a heads up to any fans of the series... there's a new novella entitled The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, which is a tie-in to the Eclipse book (about the vampire army).

http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/breetanner.html

ETA: After I just read the link I posted (haha) it looks like the novella will be available to read for free online from June 7th for about a month at www.breetanner.com. Cool!

I wished she'd done this for Midnight Sun instead. I know she put it on-line, officially, but, a nice proper novella like the Bree Tanner one would've been nicer.

The mystery to me is why she chose to do a novella on Bree Tanner, who's a bit character, at best, over doing one about Edward. Surely he's loads more important to the series than Bree Tanner!

Who is Bree Tanner? I've read all the books and this name does not ring a bell at all.

Bree was
Spoiler: show
the 'little girl' vampire that was created by Victoria and the other "bad vampires" to kill Edward.  She 'surrendered' after the battle and the Cullens tried to protect her but the Volturi killed her anyway.

Thanks for that!

I agree that it seems a waste of time writing about a character that most people can't even remember.

I've just seen this! Did you read them? Very PG-rated compared to the Sookie Stackhouse books, but they have their own kind of charm.  :)
