UK/US immunization differences

Hello,

I have a five-month-old who was born in England. We are possibly moving back to the US in a few months and I am trying to research the different vaccination schedules and figure out what's up. They look pretty much the same, except it seems my DD didn't get HepB at birth and also the UK doesn't seem to do rotavirus.

Anyone move back to the US and encounter any issues with the two vaccines schedules? Or will it be a pretty seamless transition? I am assuming once we find a pediatrician in the US, I'd just bring in DD's red book and they'll be able to see what's what.

We moved back with a 10 month old 2 years ago and just brought along as much information from their records as we could.  Then I printed out the whole UK schedule and took it with me.  We did most of DD at the health dept and they did their own research and eventually she got caught up with everything.  It really wasn't a problem at all and like I said I just brought copies of her records from the GP

I brought all our records  back as well.. but DD was  behind, Now at 4 she is  'caught up". For a while it was stressful for me because she  was having  two or three  at  a time done.  Again it was worse for me  than her  but  is all done and dusted now.They do  less in the  UK  and then there  are some  if you  'want' to do like the chicken pox one.  flu shots  etc.

We moved back to the US when our son was 8 months. I brought his red book to the pedi, and we caught up by 15 months. I believe the main difference was the hep B, and he was too old to get rotavirus by that point. It wasn't an issue at all, you will be fine!

Good deal. I will just bring the red book. It really seems like the only difference so far is the rotavirus and hep B. And if we move back, it'll be in the next few months, so hopefully won't be too big of an issue.
I was mainly just worried for school/day care if they had to have certain ones by certain ages.
