It's hard to feel sorry for someone making the kind of money he makes.....but gosh Brits can be tough on their athletes...

I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

I've not read any of the coverage yet... any links?
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I haven't read any of the coverage either.  However, there is a sort of...joke, I guess...up here.  The national media (BBC mostly) refers to Andy Murray as a British tennis player when he's winning, and a Scottish tennis player when he's lost.  :P

I want to like him and I sort of do ... but there's just something off about him. I still think it would be fab if he won Wimbledon one of these days, but ... I don't know. He's Scottish, y'know.  ;)
