I'm sure it will be fine-  :-\\\\  I hope.. I'm glad it's come up really, means it won't knock me for a loop when we go and register the new babs.

Yeah, thanks for this.  I am a big fan of being over-prepared rather than unpleasantly surprised.  I'm pretty sure I have my old passport in my Folder of Important Documents.  We'll see what I can remember in April when the kid shows up.   :P

I think I got asked what my high school colors and school mascot were and that was it. So weird.

This bit was funny for me because it turned out that the foreign service guy who questioned me went to my university and was married to a girl who went to my high school.  Needless to say, I didn't have a problem with this portion of the interview. :)

Have you considered filing a complaint with the Embassy?  It sounds like this government worker was out of line and perhaps needs to be dealt with?  If you contact the embassy I am sure they can give you the complaints procedure.  Also, perhaps someone will assist you with making this process easier.

I practiced immigration law in the US, and sometimes folks were out of line but once we raised the issue with someone above their head the tone changed.

sorry you had such a rough time. My DH (the American half) had a hard time becoz even after producing his high school and college transcripts, they wanted to see his old passports. Well he only got one for the first time at age 23, so back then, when we were young he was still on his first passport!!! Aren't Americans supposed to understand themselves?!
I have another passport question tho, if I'm renewing 3 kids passports at the same time, can I use one special delivery envelope, or does each one require it's own envelope? Any ideas?
many thanks
