Simple Mobile??
« on: October 07, 2011, 11:27:09 PM »
I just found this through Amazon and decided to check it out further.  They seem to be the most reasonable for a short trip (for me anyway) on minutes, texts and data usage.  I'm looking at their $40 Unlimited Plan, which includes free international texts (internet is 2Gb for the month).  The SIMs come with $5 international credit, and their call rates to the UK are very reasonable (about $0.02 to landlines and $0.10 to mobiles).

They also do Micro SIMs and Blackberry plans.

My only question is: has anyone ever used them before when visiting the states?  And is it really that simple?

No, just what's on the website and what I've posted here.  I haven't been to the states yet and would have to get my mobile unlocked, which I don't think I have time to do at the moment.  I think I'll just stick with T-mobile US as you can then transfer your "credit" towards their gold reward status, so I can keep the mobile number for a year...

Cool  :)
I was thinking about it for when I take a holiday there at Christmas, if I do it, I'll let you know how it goes  :)

I don't know about this but I did buy a sim from mrsim.com and I had no problems and I had 2 months worth of service.
Worth checking out - call as emailing doesnt get you very far.

In case you need additional options
