LOVED Fadiman! You?

Me too. :)  I thought I gave the book to you but I can't remember exactly why I did - maybe because you gave me a book?  Fadiman wrote another similar style book of essays called At Large and At Small which is not quite as good but still enjoyable.  She also wrote The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down, which is a wonderful but entirely different kind of book.  I actually read that one first and it's what led me to Ex Libris.

that is one of my very favourite books. The one on combining libraries gets me every time. It's just a gem.

Yes, there are so many good bits!

Yes, come to think of it, I do think you gave it me! But I can't remember why either. Anyway, thank you!  :-*
