I kept seeing her name at the top of every chart so I gave Someone Like You (live Brit award version) a listen to....and here are my thoughts....
She has a hell of a voice and can carry a tune live. It helps that she's not trying to street dance at the same time....
The song itself is composed around that damned chord progression that comprises almost every pop song now:

Now Chris Rock once said that every woman ultimately hates her husband because they secretly want the one who got away (now bear in mind they have never seen this other Prince Charming stricken with a three day bout of diarrhea), but the story of this song is that the girl pops up at this guy's door years later after he has married and settled down with a coupla kids.
Now guys I don't know how you'd feel about this but I don't think I would want to give her a hug. First off I would be leery as hell, wondering if she was going to kidnap my cat or something, because it reeks of some sort of mental illness. How would you get rid of her? Would you invite her in right in the middle of dinner (care for some cube steak and mash....err what was your name again?)?
Too, even though I could claim no responsibility for the Madam Stalker, my wife would give me hell over it. She just would.
