So excited!
For any NYers out there. You may or may not remember the 9th Avenue International Food Festival. 20 blocks of food, glorious food, in Mid-May. I lived in the middle of that piece of heaven. Right in the middle of Hell's Kitchen - ah...
One of my favorite things to eat were the Mozzarepas. Sweet cornmeal cakes with Mozzarella all goey and sandwiched in between. We couldn't get enough of these things.
Well I was sad I was missing it this past weekend, and my mouth was watering for that gooey sweet cornmeal cake. So I decided to try and come up with a version of it here (heck...I had some polenta hanging about...)
It turned out PERFECT! Just the way I remember them! I was so happy I just about cried. Ok so I teared...a little.

Has anyone had similar success with a food they craved so much they were able to recreate it here?
