2001/51 Seat Leon 1.4S 16V
« on: May 25, 2011, 09:40:15 PM »
Shot in the dark really, not sure if anyone on here would be interested or not.  I bought this car mainly because it was cheap on insurance for me at the time.  I no longer need it because I now have a company car!

I am selling my 2001 Seat Leon 1.4S 16V on a 51 plate that has covered 91,175 miles due to receiving a company car. This is a fantastic little car in what I would consider great condition for its age! The car has only done about 170 miles since it passed its MOT.

Asking 1,800GBP or Near Offer!

Vehicle features:
Front Electric Windows
Height Adjustable Drivers Seat
AURA CD Player (Standard SEAT)
Tilting Steering Wheel
Power Assisted Steering
Side Airbags
Rear Wiper

In addition to standard features:
SEAT LEON CUPRA Interior including: 4 seats, 4 black door cards, black glove box, black lower dash trim panel, and leather steering wheel. Please note that due to having Cupra door panels, the drivers door and the rear doors have switches for electric windows, however the rear windows are not electric, neither are the mirrors.

Also, the vehicle is fitted with 17" Cupra Starfish alloy wheels. The alloys are in MINT condition and worth about 300 quid alone! The two front tyres are like new, however the rear ones will need replacing within the next few thousand miles.

I have also fitted the infamous Skoda Fabia rear wiper conversion kit.

When I originally bought the vehicle, it had leaky door seals, this has been a notorious problem with the Leons and I have had them completely resealed and the interior of the vehicle is now bone dry and doesnt leak anymore.

The good bits:
MOT until April 2012
Taxed until August 2011
Had a full service in February 2011
Cambelt Changed at appx 68k miles
Clean condition
Cheap to insure
Cheap road tax
Excellent fuel consumption
2 keys to go with vehicle

The bad bits:

Remote Central Locking does not work, electric locks work but not with remote.
Stone chips on bonnet (nothing unusual for age)
2 small lacquer peel spots on bonnet and on the roof of car
The rear tyres were an "advisory" on the MOT but passed.

Please if you have any questions about this vehicle, either send a message on here or give me a ring 07939 005770. I ideally need this sold by June 1st as I am moving house as well and do not have space to store it.

Asking 1,800 or near offer.

Looks pretty.
You missed or I missed as to the type of transmission it has?
