Back Button in Firefox 5.0
« on: July 04, 2011, 06:46:54 PM »
I have found that for about 3 or 4 days, when I come here with Firefox (version 5.0), after I go to anything, e.g. to a thread, if I want to go back to where I was before, I have to click the "back" button three times instead of once. This doesn't happen with Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera or SeaMonkey.

If I look at the back button dropdown it shows three entries instead of one... it only does this at Uk-yankee.

That's interesting, I'm using Firefox 5 now and I don't have this behaviour, so I really don't know what it could be. I'd suggest flushing the cache and cookies maybe.

A quick Google using "firefox back button 3 times" as the search term showed it's not just me. It seems some Flash ads on forums are causing the problem. So I adjusted the settings on my trusty Firefox addon (NoScript) to "forbid uk-yankee.com" and Bingo! I only have to click "back" once now, and, as a bonus, no more annoying ads!
