Hi all,
Moving to the UK in September and am already looking at cheap winter outerwear for my daughter, to mail or take over. I have been raising my daughter in California so I am not sure what she will need for the winter. She'll be 18 months and we won't have a car.
We'll be in the Southwest which doesn't get as cold as say, Scotland, but is still pretty dang cold when you're huffing it on foot.
First of all, would it be better for me to wait and look for clothes over there, closer to winter? I want to get a good deal but then again, the cost of transporting the items might negate that anyway if I can just go to Primark or something.
Secondly, does anyone have any tips for types of coats, fabrics, etc? I am considering either a big puffy hooded winter coat or a big thick allover snowsuit, or both. But I am worried that the snowsuit will be too hot when we go indoors, and impossible to put on/take off. I want her to be the warmest but I want to be practical too.
Thanks for all your help!
