http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-14245802"Police in Northern Ireland have apologised to a Londonderry couple whose wedding was mistakenly stopped on suspicion it was a "sham marriage".
Neil McIlwee and his pregnant fiancee, Yanan Sun, were about to get married at the Guildhall on Tuesday when police entered the building and arrested them.
PSNI chief inspector Jon Burrows has admitted his officers got it wrong but said they were acting in good faith.
Mr McIlwee, who is from Castlederg, rejected the apology.
He said "sorry" would not make up for the distress caused."
