Ahh the Nescafe Dolce Gusto (Melody III) is on my wishlist. It's the closest I've spotted to a Keurig (in terms of choice) and even has iced tea!

And buy...I'm pretty sure the last homemade holiday decorations I made were in elementary school!

World cuisine (ie Chinese, Indian, Mexican)

(edited to clarify it's a nescafe machine)

Both. We enjoy cooking a lot of Indian and Mexican dishes, plus some from other cultures. We also enjoy going out for Indian, Japanese, Thai, Greek, Mexican etc. We enjoy trying new recipes, but also love it when someone cooks for us, when it is more authentic.

Bookshelves?

DIY! I've perfected my Pumpkin Latte and my Mocha is to die for.  I can also do a regular old knock-your-socks-off Cappuccino.  I'm famous for it among my friends ;) Can't wait to get a better machine after the move, though.

Hot Tea? [that is, pre-done bags or loose leaf make-your-own-concoction]

Pre-done bags. I have so many kinds I can't keep track of them all, but keep the fave few at the front of the cabinet.

Valentine treats

Bookshelves?

OOps! I missed this!
Both?  I like to buy shelves then configure them creatively on the wall.

Garden Soil, fertilizer?

^^^I do this too. We have an entire cabinet devoted to coffee and tea.
I make all baked goods from scratch, as my little daughter has a dairy allergy and we both have Celiac.

Buy! Totally! :)

Cookies/Cakes

[doing this one too as I totally missed/screwed up the order. Sorry guys!]

I bake [see explanation above] usually, however I stink at gluten-free cake, so I will buy one at almost any expense.  I like to decorate them, though, and I make awesome icing, so I'm always looking for them un-iced.

With St. Patty's day coming up, this is on my mind and I REALLY wanna learn how to make it: Corned Beef?

Buy. I buy tinned corned beef to use in recipes. I've never thought about learning to make it.

Ice cream

Mostly DIY because it is so much cheaper. When I want to treat myself I go to Starbucks or one of the local coffee shops for something special. I never get Americano or whatever their version of regular coffee is, because it is usually stronger than I want.
