I just wanted to say thanks again for all the helpful advice. We had our house hunting trip last week and saw many lovely homes. Ended up choosing one in the Virginia Water area close to the American schools (which I found very impressive when we toured them). I thought the area was beautiful and I think we will really enjoy living there.
Now just waiting for our visas to come through!
