Chocolate chip cookie recipe with UK equivalents?
« on: September 11, 2004, 12:20:14 PM »
Hello everyone - I'm looking for a chocolate chip recipe that uses UK ingredient and measurement equivalents. Does anyone have suggestions?
Thanks very much!
Sarah

Sorry, I only have US recipes.  But if you can get a set of measuring cups-available most places I can help you with the equivalent ingredients.

Success.  If you go to www.allrecipes.com, you can convert recipes to metrics.  Good luck

But what does everyone use for the fat in choc. chip cookies? I never use butter/margarine as they seem to just go too flat and greasy - in America I always used Crisco. I haven't played around much with anything of the sort here, so I'd love suggestions as I have some Tollhouse chips that are begging to be used!  ;)

I use Trex.  It's in the butter section.  It's a veg. oil spread used for baking.   Or I use Stork baking margerine.

Thank you for the feedback, everyone. Mindy, if you could let me know what the ingredient equivalents are I would really appreciate it. I do have a set of measuring cups that work here. Cheers!
