Just arrived a short week ago and staying near Cheam.  Some say I'm crazy for leaving sunny California, however, I love my new home.

I'd be interested to speak with anyone that can educate me on how to get around, i.e., buses, learning to drive, etc.

I'm from San Diego as well, and I've ended up in Manchester.  I also love it, although this is the time of year that I start complaining about cold hands and feet. Welcome!

Hello Lita! I live in San Diego (Cali native) but am moving in the summer next year to the UK. I get a lot of flack from my die hard California friends who ask me why I would want to leave the sun, the beaches, the activities, convenience etc.. Welcome to the boards! ;D
