Holiday Tips for our Porters?

Hello-

We moved into a flat that has 5-6 porters who work here - they have been a big help getting our deliveries, and even hauling a bed up 3 flights of stairs since the delivery folks refused to do it when we weren't home.  What's the custom on holiday tips?  Any advice?  Separate or one big tip for all?  How much?

Separate tips.  We give the head porter envelopes to distribute to each of the porters.  I can't suggest an exact amount as I think that's something you have to decide for yourself based on your budget and how much help each of the porters gave you.  We give a little bit more to the porters who we think go the extra mile but there is not a huge disparity.
