Weapons in our shipment, C3 declarations.
« on: November 23, 2011, 12:48:50 AM »
Oh boy, when I left the UK most of this was freely available so I didn't even think about us bringing it back. Now I find they had another knee jerk panic attack about samurai blades in 2008.

We have a true forged Katana which I think is exempt from the ban under the amendment for traditional hand crafted blades. I think this is the only one I need to actually declare.

Any one that has had any experience with this I would appreciate your help.

Along with that we have a similarly forged tanto, some daggers, generally ornamental double edged straight blades, a couple of small axes and a chinese long sword (straight blade, sharp but generic imitation cast stainless steel blade)

I can post a picture of the items if that would help any resident experts.

I am also asking my shipping company but I figure the more opinions the better :)
