My Strange Addiction
« on: March 12, 2012, 04:11:28 AM »
It's like a train wreck that you can't look away from. This chick drinks gasoline - up to 12 teaspoons a day. She even dips it in newspaper and eats it.

Then the other lady has carried around a doll head for 20 years. She even slips it under her pillow when she's with her partner.

Oy vey! Some people...I just can't wrap my head around such things!

Has anyone seen this?

I've seen it.  You're right, it's like a train wreck.  I saw an episode where a woman eats dryer sheets.  Another woman eats pottery clay or cigarette ash.  A guy ate raw meat...just the cheap kind you get at any local supermarket, not organic fresh meat even.  He ended up having a parasite and got scared into stopping.

I don't understand it.  I guess there really are all kinds out there, huh?

OMG I watched one the other week about a girl who was DRINKING nail polish. DRINKING IT. She used nail polish remover to remove the colour from her teeth and lips. Oy Vey. My husband told me to stop yelling at the television.

I've seen this show a few times as well. Just when you think you've seen or heard it all........ :o

I do find it a bit fascinating (and often, a big gross)!  It's especially frustrating when these people don't consider what it could possibly be doing to their bodies and long-term health.

Exactly. Plus, I don't know enough about chemicals and poison to even consider some of the things they do, even if I had a hankering to try, say, gasoline. I'd think even a teaspoon might put me in the hospital.  Aren't they scared to even start? Guess not!

When I saw the adverts for this show, I remember thinking "I don't know if I can watch that."

You all have confirmed for me that indeed I can't. It sounds nuts!  :-X

Ewww ewww  [smiley=puke.gif] I can't even fathom that one.

I continued to watch as there was a marathon on and this guy is in a physical and emotional relationship with his car that he's named Chase. And there was a lady on there who liked to snort baby powder and her house was covered in the stuff.

I saw a clip of that on youtube, as well as others. I think it is a bit amazing how people can develop such addictions. I want to see the episode about the dude with the relationship with his car.
