Has anyone used Oanda fxglobaltransfer (not Oanda fxtrade) for sending money overseas? I signed up for xetrade as it has good reviews on this forum. I just checked a quote from both xe and oanda for transferring $10,000. From xe, the exchange rate was 0.6301, so I get 6300GBP. With oanda, I would get 6377GBP with an exchange rate of 0.6378. Oanda do charge a $25 flat fee which I think covers the outgoing wire, but I may have to also wire the money into Oanda in the first place, which would cost me $18. So really, with Oanda I get GBP6350.
So Oanda sounds good, but am I missing something? I feel like the exchange rate is too good to be true...Does anyone have any experience with them?
