Route 66 - in Axminster
« on: February 27, 2010, 12:00:45 PM »
There is a lovely little cafe in Axminster called Route 66 (the owner is from Texas), anyway, I was wondering if anyone would like to meet up there sometime.  Axminster is in East Devon and has a rail station, which makes it handy for anyone in the Exeter area, its also home to River Cottage Canteen/Shop (you might just bump into Hugh!).

Wow, just found this and didn't know a fellow Texan had a business in Axminster but can't find it on the Internet.  Does it still exist?  We live in Dorset, about 1 hr 20 min's from Axminster and go there about once a year so would love to meet up.

Yep, Route 66 is alive and well, in fact she has the cafe and a little coffe shop around the corner! I don't think she has a website, but it definately is a place to see!

The 31 bus takes you straight to Axminster and the bus stop is not too far from the cafe.
