Welcome to UK-Y

.
The first thing I need to figure out is what sort of visa requirements I need especially regarding working permits.
First off, if you are married to a UK citizen, you do not need to working about work permits specifically - you just need to apply for a spousal visa and that will give you the automatic right to live and work in the UK (actual work permits are exceptionally difficult to get and are tied to a specific job, so being married to a UK citizen makes things nice and easy because a spousal visa allows you to work in any job you want to apply for)

.
If someone could direct me to the pertinent posts on the forum so I don't have to go through 600+ pages that would be great.
The main source of information regarding applying for a spousal visa will be on the UKBA (UK Border Agency) website:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/partners-families/citizens-settled/spouse-cp/and Transpondia's website:
http://londonelegance.com/transpondia/spouse/ (the site is currently being revamped though)
A couple of threads that may be useful here at UK-Y are:
http://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?topic=57076.0http://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?topic=69901.0Be aware though that the immigration rules will be changing in April 2012 (the details of which haven't been announced yet though), so the spousal visa information that is available to you now on the UKBA website and here on UK-Y (such as visa prices, visa validity time, required maintenance funds, length of visa validity etc.) may not be valid by the time you are ready to apply for your visa.
