Interview soon- noticed UK husband middle name misspelled on BC
« on: February 27, 2012, 10:36:35 AM »
My husband's middle name Mathew is spelled Matthew on his birth certificate.  This was news to him.  He's spent his whole life, passport, drivers license and all spelling it with one "t".  Called the register office who said it's going to be hard to prove a misspelling at time of birth unless we have baptismal certificate- which we don't. He said we'd have to go through a solicitor to have a change of name done.

Question is have any on you encountered a discrepancy like this or would you think it would be a issue at visa interview time which is in 3weeks.

Thanks  :)
