Incorporation and US visa issues..UK resident
« on: March 08, 2012, 03:54:04 PM »
Hi.  I'm a new guy on here so please excuse me if I am in the wrong section or asking the wrong questions but hopefully someone can help :)

I am in the process of setting up a US C Corporation and have been informed that I need to get an E Visa.

Can anyone please tell me if this is the case and also, if required, what is the best and most cost efficient way to go about doing this?

Thanks in advance

I don't think you need to be US resident (or have a visa) to set up a US C corp. However, if you want to work in the US for that corporation you would need a visa.

I think you're referring to an E2 visa, (treaty investor). Take a look at http://www.thefloridaforums.com/forum/ a good source of in formation for UKC's that wish to start a business in the U.S.
