You don't happen to be living in Fulham Broadway, do you?
YES, I do lol. Assuming my current landlady was your former landlady, did you have to persistently pursue her to get anything back? Did she ask you to give her next month's rent?

Ohhhh gosh. I really hope it's not the same woman. Blunden Court? Is she a teacher?

I actually left despite paying for quite a few more weeks, and I had her agree in writing that she would refund that rent as well as the deposit. She was completely agreeable with it in person, but said she couldn't return anything until her pay came in at the end of the month. At the end of the month I had to remind her, and she only returned part of it without explanation. When I questioned it and reminded her of our written agreement, she was a proper b*tch to me. So I left it alone and asked at the end of the next month when she finally gave me the money. It did take some tactical pestering.

If it is the same woman, feel free to send me a message and I'll offer any advice I can. Or feel free to just have a proper rant. I had never actually experienced hatred until I dealt with that woman.
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' Kurt Vonnegut

Hey... sorry for not posting soon.  I got busy with moving out, work, and travelling.  I did manage to move out last thursday, and thankfully, she was asleep so she didn't ask for next month's rent (I would have said 'no').  She did mention that she found a replacement, but he will move in two weeks' time (supposedly, the guy just went on holiday), so she couldn't give the deposit yet.  I'm not sure if that is just a ruse, but I will find out next week when I call to get my deposit back.  She did call the next day asking to meet up and give her the GBP400, but I was out of town for a weekend trip somewhere.  She hasn't called again.

Ohhhh gosh. I really hope it's not the same woman. Blunden Court? Is she a teacher?
It's not the same woman.  It would be quite a coincidence if it were.
