Manila folders with pockets
« on: April 01, 2012, 05:49:30 PM »
I'm looking for cheap A4 manila folders with pockets - something like this, but available in the UK. I spent hours at Staples this morning, but no luck - the boy working there gave me a very blank stare when I described what I was looking for.

Do my folders exist here?? Help!

I don't think they do chary!  I had a similar search for them and the woman who owned the little office supply store said she'd never seen anything like them.  I ended up making my own out of some old bristol board I had laying around from my art college days.

I love those folders and used to get not the plain ones but ones with kittens on them or something like that (they are used a lot by students in the US so lots of kittens, superheroes, puppies, that kind of thing.)

That is so frustrating!! I can't really make my own as I need a couple of hundred of them. Alas!

When I was volunteering for the National Trust for Scotland, I am 98% sure that they had pretty custom ones for our welcome packets for orientation, because there were a lot of different forms and brochures and things they needed to give us. They do exist, but I'm not sure how readily available or cheap they are.  :-\\\\

Mail order...?

http://www.overstock.com/Office-Supplies/Avery-Two-pocket-Portfolios-Case-of-25/3306644/product.html?cid=133635

Looks like they have different colours available.  All on Overstock.com - looks like they have been imported from outside the UK.

Those look great, C! For some reason, I thought Overstock was a US thing - that they'd have to be shipped from the US with customs to pay, etc.

ETA: Slight problem that they're 8 1/2 x 11 - not A4. So my A4 pages would stick out by nearly an inch.  :(

Yes, it looked like they might be shipped over from the US, as it says the price includes some kind of 'international fee'.
