There is an Old Navy store in a mall in Inverness? Are you sure?
Just what I was thinking.

I've never seen an Old Navy store in the UK and according to the Old Navy website there are currently no stores outside of the US and Canada.

However, I have just come across articles from April 2011 and July 2011 stating that there are plans to open the first international Old Navy store in Japan by the end of 2012.

I will take a photo of it on Saturday :)

I work in the mall in Inverness and have never noticed an Old Navy. We don't even have a Gap or Banana Republic  :-\\\\

Where is it then?  I've lived here near 5 years and have never seen an Old Navy!

I can see that. Gap is a bit pricier and preppier than most of what I see people wear here.

It might be too expensive but I love Boden. They ship to the US now, too, and I want one of basically everything. I like that it's feminine, not overly trendy and professional without being too formal.

That's pretty much all I wear. Boden is perfect. And I often find second-hand but still good-condition pieces on eBay.

Aye, yes, there are gap stores elsewhere in Scotland, but I was referring to Inverness specifically.    ;)

Just wanted to give another recommendation for ASOS - good range, good prices, lots of sales, free shipping unless you want it faster than a week. I have some friends who use Marks & Spencers, and I absolutely love Uniqlo - it's the closest thing to Old Navy as far as I'm concerned for things like office clothes, basics, and jeans.

Not sure if you're interested in shoes but there's Javari (Amazon spin-off).

ASOS has great customer service, shipping/returns, etc, but I find the fit and quality of their clothes to be poor.  The Curve range seems to be designed for apple shapes but not pear, and after the second pair of trouser hems came unravelled after less than a month, I just gave up.  I have had a problem with everything I've ever ordered from them.  Now I stick to the sales at Boden and Monsoon.  Far, far better quality and flattering fit.
