Paying US credit cards
« on: May 11, 2012, 12:10:54 PM »
Hi everyone,

I have 2 Bank of America credit cards, which I have not used in 2 years, but am paying down.  I am paying money to keep the account open, wire transfer fees as well as a conversion fee each month!

I am going to try and see if I can get a balance transfer, but was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions.

Thank you!

I use xe.com trades. Once it's set up it's really simple to set up payments, and it's way cheaper than using normal bank transfers.
Arrived as student 9/2003; Renewed student visa 9/2006; Applied for HSMP approval 1/2008; HSMP approved 3/2008; Tier 1 General FLR received 4/2008; FLR(M) Unmarried partner approved (in-person) 27/8/2009; ILR granted at in-person PEO appointment 1/8/2011; Applied for citizenship at Edinburgh NCS 31/10/2011; Citizenship approval received 4/2/2012
