1 month car hire?

I am looking to hire a car for a month and wondering if anyone had done this and could recommend a company?  Of course I'd be looking for the cheapest smallest car possible to save money.  My husband is flying back to the UK and will be there for a month.  The cheapest I have found was £299+VAT.

Try using one of the comparison websites such as www.travelsupermarket.com, and check carefully that fully comprehensive insurance is included in your rate.

Not sure what part of the UK you're going to be in, but if you're in a more rural area, try checking with the local garages, as opposed to (inter)national car-hire companies.  The cars might not be quite as shiny-new, but you'll probably get a better deal.
