Not sure if this is the right place to post, but does anyone play on the Sims on the computer?

I go through phases where I become embarrasingly addicted to my Sims and then get really bored of them, and then go back. I'm in the bored phase right now. But I do love the game :)

Mirrajay, it is the never-ending sims cycle that we are all trapped in!

At the minute I am not really playing any people, but repeatedly redesigning the house that my husband and I are considering building.

Oooh, yaaay! I'm not the only one. Trust me, mirrajay, I just got out of one of those addicting phases, but sadly, I've entered another phase. I looked on theSims forum and entered a building competition for Sim points.  :o

Ahh, I've never collected the Sims points. I really dont like that you can buy them and that some things can only be purchased with them.  Sims buy things with Simoleans, not Sims points. DUH :)

Not for years.

I got fed up with it when the man of the house was killed in a house fire just by the process of putting on the kettle, because there wasn't a smoke detector! The woman grieved constantly and refused to leave the house for work or anything and then kept complaining because there was no food in the fridge, at which point I contrived some way of killing her off as I'd tried everything and lost patience with her!  ;D

I'm sorry for laughing, but that's brilliant. I just got my afternoon chuckle from imagining that.

Yea, I understand what you saying mirrajay - I don't like that you can buy Sim points - I haven't entered that level of play. But I've gotten really bored with my game and since a new EP comes out in September, I thought I'd give the build/decorate competitions a try. If I win and get Sim points, it's a bonus - hey, at least I'm not buying them  ;D

Ohh whats the new expansion pack?

Tyke - I kill off my Sims all the time.  Although its not as easy as it used to be. You used to be able to put them in a pool and delete the ladder, now they can crawl out without the ladder. Damn those smarter Sims.

The Sims 3: Supernatural - Werewolves, fairies, zombies...oh my!

What I'm really holding out for is Sims 4.  :D

I'm like you guys, I play obsessively and then get bored. I do like how EA keeps developing things to keep your interest though. For example, I liked the Sims Medieval game. That kept my interest for awhile.

However, I must hold my hand up and admit that I'm a cheater. I'll try the game as you're supposed to play it first but I always get bored quicker because I just want to play it like I want to play it. So the boolprop testing cheat comes out fairly early.
There are two things in life for which we are never truly prepared:  twins.

I've been addicted to the Sims Freeplay app on my iPod/iPad for months. Love it more than any of the Sims computer games. And they *never* die, however. Even with massive amounts of neglect.  ;D

I've been addicted to the Sims 3 forums. I haven't been playing much these days, just building and making Sims for competition. It's a good thing my husband likes to play too or else I'm pretty sure he'd think I was a weirdo!  ::)
