Fulbright

For anyone who has attempted to win this award I was just wondering how hard is it to get? This is the biggest award that I am applying for so I can imagine it must be pretty hard to win.

It is a lot of work.  If you are applying this year (for next year), you probably should be polishing your proposal by now.  I made the mistake of waiting too late and wasn't able to get my proposal perfect by the deadline.  I got recommended by my panel, but I wasn't awarded the scholarship.

I can answer any questions you have about the process if you are applying through your university.

This was about three years ago mind.  I don't know if things have changed since then.

My husband was awarded a Fulbright.  It's a very competitive process.  He was unsuccessful in his first attempt but he was awarded the fellowship the second time around.
