Looking for a flat in Ealing (West London)? I am moving...
« on: September 04, 2012, 11:34:05 AM »
My landlord has asked me to send out some feelers among the US expat community to see if anyone is interested in moving in to this flat when I vacate.

The basics:
1 bedroom Victorian conversion on the first floor. One neighbor above and one below. 10-12 minute walking distance from Ealing Broadway High Street (shops, Central & District Lines + Overground).  A few minutes more to Ealing Common (District and Piccadilly) and South Ealing (Piccadilly). Large living room and kitchen. Bedroom large enough for a king bed. Bathroom has both bath and shower. Very reliable/easy to work with landlord. Parking on street by permit. Rent currently £1100 PCM but he did not confirm that it will remain at that rate.

We are looking to move in 6-8 weeks, although that is flexible. Please PM me if you need info, pics etc.

I'm bumping this as I saw my landlord this weekend. He is looking for £1150-1200 PCM.

Stuff I forgot to mention:
Kitchen has washer/dryer, newish full sized dishwasher, tall slim fridge/freezer and the boiler has been replaced since I moved in. To date, the neighbours have been quiet. Residential area in the W5 postcode.

As well as pics/info, I am happy for you to stop by and have a look. I have lived here almost 5 years so know all the pros/cons and I have had a good relationship with Andrew, my landlord. I've read the horror stories on here and I really don't like my agency people so it's win-win if I help him find someone rather than dealing with them. :)

Last bump as I am handing my official notice in this weekend.

I'm seriously gonna miss this flat. I really wish it were mine.  :\\\'(

:-\\\\ I wish it weren't a 1 bedroom; DH's office location is changing and they're heading west. As it is he hardly ever sees our son apart from at the weekend.

Sounds frustrating Gwen. How old is his son?

He's two; the present work situation has DH leaving the house quite early and getting in after bedtime so the only family time we get is at the weekend. It's going to be worse when the office moves West.
