Now I have an oven question....
« on: November 11, 2004, 03:17:14 PM »
Before I go out and buy a turkey of any size..... I have a convetion oven with a regular oven on top/grill.  So it's one of those two oven ones but both are small ovens.  It's pretty typical of most UK models..... so what the biggest turkey I can fit in it?  I keep wondering how a 5 kg turkey that I see in the stores will fit....

hmmmm.....

Okee-dokee.  I checked my math on a conversion site  ::)  and I beleive that 5k is about 11 pounds, which will almost certainly fit in an oven here.  I usually do about a 7K which is about 15/16 pounds and I've never had a problem fitting it in my not giant oven.

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I just had water up my nose so it was not too bad.. could have been worse and I would have had to sue Britwife... ;D

On other news... I am known to hug odd things like wrought iron, old walls teeming with history and mostly lately I tried to  hug my granite floor in my kitchen.  So perhaps if the turkey was free range and organic I might consider hugging it! ;D
