Getting Pages (mac word processor) to format to A4. Please, please help me!

Hi,

Can someone please help me?  I have a 2008 iMac and am working in Pages.  I cannot for the love of God get it to let me type to the bottom of what would be an A4 paper.  I have reset the paper size to A4 but the margins run out at the American length and go to the next page when I'm typing.  So when I print, the paper is like 4/5 full (what would go on an American paper) and then it goes onto the next page.

A committee of people who were obviously not in their right minds elected me as chair of the PTO and I am frustrated to my breaking point trying to do the newsletter.  Thank you for any advice anyone might have.

Hi. I know nothing about iMacs, nor the program Pages, and you may have already done this, but here goes.

You said you have set the paper to A4. However, have you manually adjusted the margins so that you have the full page on which to type?

Can't you change the page size when you come to print?
