Baby passport confusion

Planning a visit to the states in july with my hubby and new baby daughter and im confused about passports for her. I know she must get and enter the USA on a US passport if she is eligable for one(dreaded trip to the embassy booked ) but when we return to the uk will customs give us any grief about her? should we bring her british passport with us to prove she is a citizen of the uk?

Yes, you'll need both passports. Otherwise she would need a visa in her US passport. Sorry.
