Where to buy US measuring cups?

I lucked out when I arrived because my in laws had a glass US measuring cup similar to the pyrex ones.  Well, some dummy dropped it and it died.  I've bought cup measurers here and they aren't the same.  After some research I've found that cups on measuring cups in the UK are different and also read about 3 different millilitre measurements that might equate into 1 US cup. Since there are different answers to what equates into a US cup millilitre wise (apparently this is for wet ingredients and measuring dry would be a whole 'nother system.) I figured it would be easier just to try to buy US measuring cups and be done with it.

I'd like to buy these soon so I can do some holiday baking, so I don't want to buy it from the US from ebay or amazon if I can help it. Goodness knows when it would arrive plus the shipping cost.  Does anyone know of any measuring cups on Amazon UK or in stores sold here that are for sure US Cups and not the strange UK Cup measurement?

I hope I made myself clear, this whole different measurements but both called cups is really bonkers.

I bought mine at TK Maxx...you just have to make sure the one you get is the US amount...

they are pretty much everywhere these days. Try Poundland, Pound Stretcher, other 'cheap' stores before paying M&S prices. Morrison's and Tesco are also good places to look.

Weights of things will vary as to what equals one cup, but as far as using a pyrex container, you can absolutely use the UK ones.  One US cup equals 8 fluid ounces in a pyrex measuring cup.  Some measures are different here, but fluid ounces are the same.  So if you even wanted to use that for things like flour you can fill it to the 16 oz line on a cup and that will be the same as having filled it to the 2 cup line on a US liquid measure container.  Obviously, this is a more difficult way to measure than just using the cups though as you can't precisely go across the top to get one cup.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I think I'll check TK Maxx tomorrow. The really strange thing that drove me nuts was that the pyrex measurer that cracked and eventually broke said 8oz/1cup. We filled this to the 1C line and poured the water into a new plastic measuring cup we bought before the pyrex one finished shattering (wasn't leaking, just had huge cracks for awhile) the 8oz of water went to the 6oz fill line on the new measurer.  I have no idea why. Was I using one that was misprinted all this time? 

Now I'm just all out suspicious of measuring cups!
