Just looked at my post up top again-

Be sure to check out the NHS Jobs website as well; you should be at the least qualified to apply for positions such as health care assistant, nursing assistant, etcetera... Many job posts I've come across offer to provide training. Make it a point to register yourself on as many Bank staff databases as you can. This would give you any flexible work you would need at a given time, and the demand is skyrocketing at the moment. You are unlimited to the areas or amount of Bank working hours you take on along with additional employment.

My thinking with this... As mentioned before, most NHS trusts will pay for you to continue education or renew qualifications once passing your first probationary period or review, and this process is completely separate from the 'NHS bursary' itself.

Just leads to the universal hard decision many of us face at a certain point; continuing education or beginning/returning to work to fund or attempt to network into the desired pathway.

I feel your pain!

(Thank you for your prior service, btw!) :-)
