Code 3 Stamp?
« on: January 30, 2013, 07:04:47 AM »
Hi everyone,

When I travelled to the UK in October, I planned on staying for 5 months with my fiance. However, due to the death of my grandfather, I had to return to the US in November. When I went through immigration at Heathrow on the 10th of October, I was given a "Code 3 Stamp" which after some Googling, apparently means they're "watching me".

As I am going to fly back next Wednesday, I'm really curious how this is going to affect my customs run through. What should I be prepared for this go 'round? Will they be harsher on me? I'm only staying 11 weeks this time... Kinda nervous because of this special stamp  :(

Thanks for any help!

Kate

Will you be able to bring proof of ties to the US with you when you travel? Proof of a job you're going back to, a lease or mortgage, things of that nature?

I'm 19, still live with my parents so there isn't much in the way of housing. I have pay stubs? Would that work? The officer didn't ask me for proof last time, just where I was staying, my work, my school, the amount of money I had, my itinerary and what not.
