:o can someone please help me with a question! on feb 9th i arrived in England. was questioned for hours and was told i was denied entry only to be told minutes later i was let in for on visitor visa. my head in a whirl i watched the io lips moving but can't remember a word she said about a special stamp she gave me. to make a long story short, i met my husband in feb 2o1o. {sorry keyboard knackered} we have traveled to and fro for past two years. this occasion i was given standard stamp as well as special stamp that has letters and numbers and says six month written in. what does this mean? maybe this is a vague description, so any questions please ask. many thanks. i have never posted before so please feel free to move to proper forum. :)

Hello and welcome to the forum! I just wanted to say, that I have the same stamp in my passport from one instance of visiting my (then) fiance (now) husband a while back. After a particularly grueling interrogation, they let me in by the skin of my teeth and put that stamp in that had what I now believe is a reference number. Basically, I was told it was just the record of your interview and subsequent admittance into the UK filed away under this reference number for easy access for them to review in future if needs be. So as long as you were 100% honest, I wouldn't be concerned for the future (apart from the visiting back and forth, which in future you will probably want to get a visitor visa approved ahead of time).

And FYI in regards to future visa/immigration woes, I had no issues with having this in my passport when I applied for my spousal settlement visa--it was issued in about 2 days with the expedited service.

I think I have the same stamp.  I was questioned once and DH (then DF) was travelling with me.  He had gone through the UK line and I went through the non-UK line.  He was called over and had to explain his job, salary, situation.... blah blah blah.  They let me in, but the IO had to go to a different desk to get the 'special' stamp and she hand-wrote a reference number on it.

I didn't have any problems applying for my Fiance Visa or FLR(M) after that.  It never even came up.  :)
