8938 e-file rejected.
« on: February 19, 2013, 04:57:40 PM »
I got a phone call from my account to tell me that my 2012 return had been rejected for e-file.  My understanding is that you can only have a maximum of two accounts listed on the 8938, anymore then you have to paper file the entire return, all schedule’s, worksheets etc.  Last year was fine, all e-filed without a problem. I also understand that this is an IRS thing, not proprietary software. Will be interested to hear if others have experience the same problem or can explain why you’re limited to two accounts on the 8938 and if this maybe an on-going problem for future years. Thanks

Great question; can you look through this and report back what it says?

Guya, thank you for the link. I did search for form 8938, but nothing came up.
