Tax returns will be a sticking point as she will be unable to sponsor you without them. Your US spouse is always your primary sponsor, even if you use a co sponsor, and must provide either three years of returns or proof she wasn't required to file returns.

Thanks Gwen - I will make sure we get up to date with the tax returns - she has mostly been working in low-paid work but has made enough to file tax returns, which is what should have been happening; once the 2013 tax return is filed, that will be two years worth of returns done on time, and I will make sure she gets the 2011 one done as well before we send in the application :)
