Anybody in or near Harrogate, England??

I was just wondering if there was anybody in or near Harrogate since I will be coming that way late summer or early Fall.   It would be great to have some new friends who are expats in the area.   

There is a US Army base nearby I believe.  No doubt plenty of Americans there!

There are loads of us in and around Leeds which is only about 10 miles from Harrogate.  There is a new facebook group Americans in Leeds as well.

Wow. Does any of you go to church in Harrogate cuz I have my fiance there??

They are planning a meet up on the facebook page, but that's scheduled for next week.  Hopefully there'll be another one planned for not too long after you get here.

I'm not Christian, so don't know about church in Harrogate, but it seems like Harrogate would be an awfully long way to go for church if you lived in Leeds (10 miles in the US is much less than it is in the UK if that makes any sense).  But definitely ask on the fb page.

To the OP... why don't you ask your fiance about churches in his area? (and maybe about refrigeration!      )  Or google... which denomination are you looking for?

Yes, I will be living in Harrogate.  lol.  I have asked him but wanted to know a specific answer to my question cuz he does go to church and perhaps someone may go to the same church he goes to. That is why I asked.

Yeah, I do realize that now.  I had just said loads of us in Leeds so I assumed she meant the Leeds people I knew, but yeah, misinterpreted the question.

That is ok.   But Leeds is pretty close to Harrogate.  So, not bad.  Is the weather getting warmer for you guys by now?
