Can someone help me? Please?
« on: May 04, 2013, 06:21:18 PM »
Hoping the link works...this is our house we are renting.  Does it look like a bigger oven than normal for UK?  Pic #12 of 20

I know that so many have had issues with their baking sheets and pans not fitting but my husband thinks that this oven is bigger than most.

Thoughts?

Thank you!!   ;D

That oven looks almost certainly bigger than my oven.

It's hard to tell from the photos, but it looks as if it might be the Rangemaster 110 cooker we have. If so, there are two ovens - one fan and one ordinary. So what you're seeing as one giant oven is probably two smaller ones. Having said that, I have no trouble with fitting things in mine at all. If it's the same one, the specs are here.

Can't you contact the letting agent to find out the exact make and model of the cooker and then look up the specs online?

I'm sure we could but with it being the weekend and a 5 hour time difference from where we are now I chose to come here first.  Plus the letting agent isn't so quick to respond to any message we've sent so far.  UGH.

The oven is definitely split into two sections.

But really, if your pans don't fit, you can just buy new ones here.

Exactly.

Otherwise, here's a list of Rangemaster trays and pans which will fit in the 110 oven. You can compare their sizes with what you have.

This is all assuming it's a Rangemaster 110, but I'm fairly confident it is.

It does look a lot like it.  We went through the house in March.  I'm not moving until June...but hubby is going next week.

Another question...what are the cupboards like in the UK?  I'm now wondering if my square dishes will fit.

I haven't noticed any difference in cupboards between the US and UK. You'll be fine.
