I've been home (still) poorly, and my first thought when seeing this was that I must be feverish and hallucinating!

Hooray for equality!

This is wonderful news, not just for those directly affected, but for society as a whole, to start treating people equally.

Did that make sense? I am tired. ;)

Yup! I am so, so happy about this, even though I'm not directly affected. It is SUCH a big deal and the opposite decision could have had devastating effects for years or decades to come.

In light of SCOTUS dismantling the Voting Rights Act yesterday, it's nice to have some good news. And I saw a tweet from someone with the reminder that we shouldn't get too comfortable, because we could be having this fight all over again in a few decades (because of what happened with yesterday's ruling). But. I am very, very happy and will have drinks to celebrate later.
